Rules
No telephone or email entries will be accepted.
All exhibits must be registered with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society OR relevant breed society in the case of M&M classes.
All entries must be paid before the animal will be allowed to enter the ring. In-hand entries classes 1-8 and 10-41 must be received by the closing date, completed correctly; no late entries will be accepted! Please call the Secretary to confirm that your entry has been received if you are unsure.
Medal Awards (if applicable)
Ridden Classes
Any person(s) on the show ground who is acting in an unfit or abusive manner towards other competitors, spectators, judges, secretary, officials or animals will be asked to leave the show ground and no entry fee will be refunded.

- All colts and stallions two years old and over must be suitably bitted and led by a handler who has attained his/her 14th birthday before 1st January of the current year.
- Animals and property will be considered as being in the exhibitor's charge.
- Children and dogs must be supervised at all times.
- The Committee will not in any way be responsible for loss, damage or injury owing to accident or other cause.
- The Committee reserves the rights to postpone, alter, cancel, divide or combine without notice, any or all event.
- Any objection must be lodged in writing with the secretary within 30 minutes of the event, accompanied by a deposit of £25, which shall be forfeited if the objection is over-ruled.
- Any exhibit considered not to be under adequate control will be asked to leave the ring.
- A Barren Mare is a mare who has not produced a foal, dead or alive, and will not produce a foal in the current year.
- It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to get him/herself into the ring at the correct time.
- No refunds will be given under any circumstances.
- Classes will not be held up for competitors who are exhibiting in more than one section.
- The judge's decision is final.

Medal Awards (if applicable)
- Medals will only be awarded to the Champion or Reserve Champion.
- No animal shall be awarded more than one Medal in one year. (Medals awarded at the Royal Welsh Show are exempted from this rule.)
- Medals will only be awarded to animals whose owners are members of the Welsh Pony & Cob Society, who have paid their subscription for the current year or are Life Members, or who have submitted their name for membership and paid one annual subscription or Life Membership composition.

- Medal Awards and Medal Rosettes will only be awarded on production of a current WPCA membership card.
Ridden Classes
- All entries must be registered with the Welsh Pony and Cob Society OR relevant breed society in the case of M&M Classes.
- Spurs must not be worn in any class.
- Show canes/whips are not to exceed 75cms. In lead rein classes, only plain or leather covered canes may be used.
- Hard hats to the approved BSI standard must be worn at all times whilst mounted.
- Any exhibit considered not to be under adequate control will be asked to leave the ring.
- Animals must be four years old or over.
- Riders of Welsh Section A, B, C and Welsh Part Bred stallions, 13.2hh and under, must have attained their 12th birthday prior to 1st January in the current year
- Riders of Welsh Section D and Welsh Part Bred stallions, over 13.2hh, must have attained their 14th birthday prior to 1st January in the current year.
- Riders of Lead rein ponies must be shown in snaffle bridle only, with lead rein attached to the noseband and must have attained their 3rd birthday prior to 1st January in the current year.
