History
Tudor Rose Welsh Pony & Cob Association was form in 2010 after we (a few friends) talked about having a new association in our area, Lancashire.
First was an informal meeting in a local pub to see how many others would be interested in starting a new association, but with a different approach.
The room was quite full (approx 50) so we knew there were others who thought the same as us. That it was time for a change.
First we needed a name. We had quite a few suggestions which were then voted on and the one with the most votes was Tudor Rose, the rose of Lancashire and so the Tudor Rose Welsh Pony & Cob Association was born.
Next came more meetings to get ourselves a committee and a constitution. Our aim was to be honest, above-board, with openness and with the thoughts that this association belongs to its members and all like minded people with a love of Welsh Ponies & Cobs
There has been a full committee since we started. Some still here from the beginnings and some who have chosen to stand down. Everyone who has been here have all put in 100% while they have done their turn.
Committee Meeting are held once a month and all members are actively encouraged to attend and witness how the business of their association is conducted.
We are always very grateful for any sponsorship of any kind.
7 years later and we are still going from strength to strength. If you can offer any help this could be in the form of joining the committee, sponsorship, stewarding or supporting our show. Contact any of the committee members for more information.
